Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Christmas gift to Charles after ‘royal racist’ storm: ‘Reconciliation’

King Charles recorded his annual Christmas speech this week — ahead of his fifth Christmas without his son Prince Harry.

But while Harry won’t be with his “Pa” over the holidays, he is planning to reach out to the monarch, along with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, from their Montecito mansion.

As one well-placed source told Page Six: “Harry and Meghan’s new strategy is reconciliation.”

In addition to this, Harry turns 40 in September and is aware of the shifting sands of time, we’re told.

A reconciliation attempt would come after a tense year, with the publication of Harry’s bombshell memoir “Spare” — in which he unleashed on his stepmother, Queen Camilla — alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix show.

Worse, Charles was named as one of the racist royals in the Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s new book, “Endgame,” alongside Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton.

The king shrugged this off at a public event — but Markle has previously acknowledged briefing Scobie for his previous book, “Finding Freedom,” which first made the incendiary claim that members of the royal family had discussed what her biracial son, Prince Archie, would look like while she was pregnant.

Harry has also not talked to his brother, Prince William, in more than a year — and things between them are as frosty as ever.

But the Sussexes last month called Charles on his 75th birthday — the first call in six months — with the grandchildren, Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, even singing over the phone for the king.

The couple, however, were blasted as “total hypocrites” for failing to keep the call quiet.

Charles this week filmed his annual Christmas speech with a crew from the British broadcaster ITN. The speech is broadcast on British network television at 3 p.m. every Christmas Day, and shown on stations in Commonwealth countries including Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Charles recorded his first address as king last year, turning it into a tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth.

He did not mention Harry and Markle as he recorded his speech at the Chapel of St. George at Windsor Castle, close to where his mother was laid to rest.

All the other royals will join the king and Camilla at Sandringham for Christmas — including disgraced Prince Andrew.

The last time the entire family was together was back in 2018. The following year, the Sussexes fled to Canada over the holidays, before announcing they were quitting the royal family and moving to California.

Harry was believed to be upset when the late queen failed to show a photo of them in her 2019 Christmas speech — instead showing photos of the then-Cambridges alongside her father and Charles and Camilla.

Indeed, Harry felt he was being “erased” from the royal family after the queen did not display a photo of him during her 2019 Christmas address, according to royals writer Christopher Andersen in his book, “Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan.”

A palace source told us: “It’s always so interesting to see what photos are put on display — a lot of care and attention goes into this. A lot is about showing off continuity of the family and the bloodline.

“Everything is meaningful and carefully curated — down to the items in the backdrop.”

Asked about Harry’s plans to reunite with his family, a Sussex source told us last month: “Of course Harry wants to have a better relationship with Charles. He is his father, after all.”
