Can’t afford Kim Kardashian’s $60M all-neutral home? Shop decor pieces that will fit her aesthetic for less

Kim Kardashian is all about the vibes.

The Skims founder, 43, may be known for her makeup prowess and her trend-setting fashion, but her $60 million LA home is her sanctuary — and it’s decorated like a monastery.

While the ultra-minimalist design was the brainchild of ex-husband Kanye West and renowned architect Axel Vervoordt, Kardashian has kept up the zen feel of her all-neutral abode despite daughter North West’s protests; the star’s eldest daughter has called the place “ugly” on a number of occasions.

But while not everyone’s a fan of Kardashian’s monochromatic mansion, plenty have admired its museum-like look.

The space relies on statement pieces by interior icons including Pierre Jeanneret, Jean Royère and Rick Owens in addition to custom designs by Belgian great Vervoordt himself, who told Architectural Digest in 2020 that the theme of the home was “silence” and “cosmic values of peace and positive energy.”

Below, see our picks for under-$500 items that those looking to follow in Kardashian’s footsteps could incorporate for a little more om at home.

Joss & Main Adna Upholstered Ottoman

Stephen Yang

West told Architectural Digest in 2020 that he sold his Maybach in order to afford Jean Royère’s iconic Polar Bear sofa; the bean-shaped curved couch can fetch more than $1 million at auction and has sparked a slew of copies since its introduction in the 1940s.

“People told me I was crazy for what I paid for it, but I had to have it,” West said. (Could Kardashian have been among the naysayers?)

While there are plenty of similar sofas to choose from on the market now, this small ottoman has the look and feel of a miniature Polar Bear sofa — and is the perfect place to rest your feet.

West Elm Concrete Pedestal Table

Stephen Yang

Concrete is a major element of the Kardashian-West home, and this indoor/outdoor pedestal table brings a bit of austerity without overwhelming the space.

George Oliver Jeko Linen Arm Chair

Stephen Yang

Like Royère’s Polar Bear couch, Jeanneret’s Chandigarh chair is a historic (and extremely pricey) piece of furniture that’s earned Kardashian’s stamp of approval. While the cane-and-teak version of the design is most popular — and appears both in Kardashian’s home and her Skims offices — she’s also got the pricier upholstered version surrounding her dining table.

This Wayfair version is a tenth the price of a Jeanneret original — and can stand up to occasional spills, too.

Skkn by Kim Home Bundle

Stephen Yang

Of course, no Kardashian fan’s home would be complete without the collection of concrete home items the “American Horror Story” actress designed herself. This bundle includes a cement tray, canister and round container for the “ultimate vanity upgrade” — and interested parties can also pick up a matching waste basket ($129) and tissue box ($89).

Jakarda Bathroom Faucet

Stephen Yang

While nearly everything in Kardashian’s home is white, cream, wood or some form of beige, her bathroom plumbing’s the exception. The star’s palatial restroom includes a concrete tub that fits all four of her children, along with showers and multiple sinks with barely-there slit drains. All the faucets are matte black, adding a sleek, modern touch.

Textured Art Therapy Plaster Canvas

Stephen Yang

The Japanese principle of wabi-sabi is a tenet of Vervoordt’s work, and the Belgian architect is known for his affinity for Venetian plaster, which he used to cover most of Kimye’s walls and surfaces.

Bring a tiny piece of the aesthetic philosophy — which celebrates the imperfect and incomplete — into your home with a custom Etsy piece.

H&M Home Ceramic Vase

Stephen Yang

An easy way to add austerity is a cheap vase that looks like it could double as a sculpture. Add dried flowers — or some type of neutral bloom — and you’ve got a rare Kardashian-approved accessory.

Crate & Barrel Craft Linen Flat Dinner Plates

Stephen Yang

Kardashian’s kitchen features tons of open shelving, so it’s only natural that her plates would fit right in with the minimalist vibe. These flat, glazed stoneware plates will do just the trick, whether put on display or not.

Sur La Table White Marble Mortar and Pestle

Stephen Yang

The Kardashians are in love with marble; who could forget Kim’s epic fight with mom Kris Jenner over 10 slabs of Calacatta Gold marble that the momager stole from her daughter’s reserves? While you probably won’t be splurging on a solid marble chair, you can add a little touch of the stone to your kitchen counter with this mortar and pestle.

CB2 Papier-Mache Bust Sculpture

Stephen Yang

If you couldn’t get your hands on Kardashian’s perfume bottle made from a mold of her body, this is the next best thing. Just tell friends and family that you got the miniature bust from a museum — or from the Skims founder herself.

Flrolove Glass Food Storage Containers Set

Stephen Yang

Kardashian keeps her walk-in panty organized by putting her ingredients, snacks and spices in matching glass jars with light-wood tops that perfectly match her home’s aesthetic.

Kanto Stoneware Mug Set

Stephen Yang

A set of chic stoneware mugs fit perfectly into the reality star’s minimalistic, concrete-heavy kitchen. You’ll feel just like Kardashian when you sip your morning coffee in this white ceramic set from Kanto.
